The Partner Summit is Snap’s yearly keynote event. For the 2021 edition the team at BNS created all the in-show graphics in collaboration with digital studio De-Yan who was making the virtual event space.

It was a total blast to have been brought on as a designer for this project — I had the opportunity to develop the show package from the pitch stage to the final and explored various possibilities on combining in-show graphics with the virtual space. As this event was going to showcase an augmented reality stage, the in-show graphics had an added layer of complexity. I am super proud of the process of coming with minimalist storytelling style during the initial pitch stage.

Intro Film

To refresh the audience's palate, the pre-show film aims to be ambient and calming, providing a serene interlude to clear the mind before the presentation.

I drew inspiration from Snap's brand identity and colors, employing the minimalist essence of a circular shape as a metaphor for many things that Snap is being represented, such as a creative portal, a window, a tunnel, a captivating stage for communication, a community hub and a lens through which we view the world.

Design Experimentation

Continuing the minimalist essence of the SNAP brand, I utilize the circle as a design element to narrate the story, employing metaphorical references to drive each section's focal point. For instance, likening the camera shutter to Lens Studio or the cinematic opening as an introduction to SNAP ORIGINALS chapters. Visually, I leverage object scaling to create a sense of three-dimensional space and depth in the flat graphics
