As a designer at Brand New School, I had the pleasure to work with one of our clients, Google, to create attractive looping animation for Google's Pixel 7 in a retail environment. The most exciting part for this project is to showcase Pixel 7 ‘s new features while attracting customers' attention. This year, Pixel 7 has 12 outstanding features to introduce to the audience. I was leading the development of sequential ideas and created 7 key features out of the 12 in less than two weeks.
The biggest challenge of this project was to tell the story while keeping the artistic of minimalism using the geometric elements from Material YOU. Thus, I visualized each functional feature into situational scenario using Adobe Illustrator. In addition, I developed the animation ideas it into four-frame sequential styleframes. For example, when I was design for the security feature, I translated into a lock geometry to help the audience related the key message effortlessly.

Elements from
Material YOU

Macro Lens
In the beginning, the screen starts with unknown mysterious black dots on top of a red background. As the camera rapidly zooms out, a ladybug flying through the flower bush reveals. Even moments like this can be captured by the Macro Lens. What moments would you like to capture?
From a design perspective, I took advantage of the water drop shape and turned it into the main character in this story line- the ladybug.

Magic Eraser
Imagine the moment you are recording a wonderful picture of hot air balloons. Some extra objects are in the frame blocking the scene.
Pixel 7’s Magic Eraser can quickly solve this for you.
The most challenging but also rewarding part of the design process is to experiment with scaling to create new meanings for different geometries.

Security
The security level provided by Pixel 7 is like keeping your data information safely in a gigantic lock with layers of protection.
I used different vector shapes to symbolize various customer data as the camera slowly zoomed out to see layers of protection, finally revealing the shape of the keyhole.

Voice
Command
How would you image your journey with Google Assistant when you need to use Google maps?
Now it is time to follow your command with the gradient circle paths and rolling balls to see how the input turns into actions powered by Google Assistant.
By introducing gradient circles, I am establishing a the user experience of activating a service and creating a sense of motion.

Tensor G2
Tensor G2 is the second-generation chip developed by Google and Samsung, which is '60% faster,' more secure, and more power efficient.
To indicate the speed of Tensor G2's performance, I used various gradient lines and vector shapes in space to represent the speed function in motion.
